Dr. Robert A Lookstein Appointed to The VIVA Foundation Board of Directors
The VIVA Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Robert A. Lookstein, MD, MHCDL, FSIR, FAHA, FSVM, to its Board of Directors.
A nationally recognized leader in interventional radiology, Dr. Lookstein serves as Professor of Radiology and Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Executive Vice Chairman of the Department of Diagnostic, Molecular, and Interventional Radiology for the Mount Sinai Health System. His clinical and research expertise spans peripheral vascular disease, venous thromboembolism, and advanced vascular interventions.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Lookstein has authored hundreds of scientific publications and played leading roles in landmark clinical trials, including InPACT AV, STORM-PE, ATTRACT, and BEST-CLI. He served as President of the Society of Interventional Radiology (2025-2026) and has held leadership positions with The PERT Consortium and The CLI Global Society.
Dr. Lookstein's longstanding involvement with the VIVA Foundation, combined with his exceptional record as a clinician, educator, investigator, and organizational leader, makes him a valuable addition to the Board.
